Horticulture industry training and undergraduate scholarships available

Horticulture New Zealand (HortNZ) has a number of $500 scholarships available to industry trainees active in the horticulture industry, who are studying towards a certificate or diploma. Applications are reviewed by a panel in April, with the selection decisions advised in May.

There are also a number of scholarships available for undergraduate students studying towards a degree in areas of interest to the horticulture industry, jointly awarded by HortNZ and the Horticentre Trust.

Scholarship packages are valued at $4500 and consist of the following:

– $1500 awarded after the selection teams' initial decisions;
– Complimentary attendance to the Horticulture Conference (costs covered include registration fees, meals, accommodation and travel)
– $1500 awarded on successful completion of the year’s study.
